AFMC Entrance Exams

AFMC Entrance Exam 2011 is going to be conducted on 02 Aug 2011. Total 130 candidates will be selected to join Armed Forces Medical College, Pune to pursue MBBS course. The Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) was established in 1948 in the urgent post-world war period.

Students completing their MBBS from AFMC are legally responsible to serve at least 7 years in the armed forces.

Armed Forces Medical College Entrance Examination Test


Armed Forces Medical College Entrance Examination Test is conducted by prestigious medical institutes in India. Like every year a large number of students and candidates will appear for AFMC MBBS Entrance exam 2011 and the competition will be really tough.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for AFMC entrance exam 2011, candidates should have passed the XII standard/pre-professional/premedical examination or equivalent examination of statutory Indian University/Board or any other recognized Board/University as a regular student in all the subjects opted for and that to in FIRST ATTEMPT with the subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology securing not less than 60% of aggregate marks in the three science subjects taken together, not less than 50% marks in each of the science subjects and not less than 50% marks in English.



Examination Format/Pattern
Candidates are needed to appear in the All India Competitive written test of 2 hrs. Duration in subjects of Biology, Intelligence, Chemistry, Physics, Logic, Reasoning and English language. Each part comprises of 50 questions of 1 mark each. Std. of the Examination is that of 11th and 12th std. under the 10+2 Scheme/Pre-medical/Isc. Or equivalent examinations of an Indian University Based on the performance in the written test selected candidates are called for interview in the month of June at Pune.
