BITSAT Entrance Exams

BITSAT is the most important BITSAT entrance examination conducted for admission in to Birla Institute of Technology and Science for bachelor engineering programs in its Pilani, Hyderabad and Goa campuses.

Eligibility
The minimum eligibility needed to appear in BITSAT is that the candidates need to pass 12th with at least 80% marks in aggregate in PCM subjects. Also a candidate should have to score a minimum of 60% marks in each of Physics,Chemistry and Mathematics.

Birla Institute of Technology and Science Examination


All questions (150 questions) are of objective type. Each correct answer fetches 3 marks, while each false answer has a penalty of 1 mark. While the candidate skips a question, the computer will not allow the candidate to choose more than one option as correct answer. The candidate can go back and change any of his/her answers among the 150 question.

Only those candidates and students who have passed 12th in 2010 or are appearing in 2011 are eligible to appear for BITS Admission Test.



Examination Format/Pattern
BITSAT is an online test of three hours duration. There will be only 150 objective questions to appear in entrance examination of BISTAT. For a correct answer a candidate obtains 3 marks and for an incorrect answer 1 mark is deducted. The distribution of 150 questions is as followed:

Physics-40
Chemistry-40
English Proficiency-15
Logical Reasoning-10
Mathematics-45

Exam Related Dates
Deadline to apply for BITSAT-2011 by submitting a printout of the completed form to the undersigned is 5.00 p.m. on 31st January, 2011 . The test will be conducted between 11th May - 10th June, 2011.Additionally to applying and appearing for BITSAT-2011, candidates will have to apply for admission to BITS through a separate application form for seeking admission to programmes offered at Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad campuses along with the details of the 12th class marks.
