IIT-JEE Entrance Exams

IIT Mumbai, IIT Kanpur, IIT Delhi, IIT Chennai, IIT Kharakpur, IIT Roorkee,, IIT Guwahati, IT Varanasi and ISM Dhanbad are the most popular institutes in India. Every year, joint entrance examination is conducted by Indian Institute of Technology to take admission in its B-Tech and other courses offered at Indian institute of technology.

On April 20, 2011 joint entrance examination is scheduled by the Indian Institute of Technology.

IIT JEE 2011 is considered as one of the prominent entrance tests in India, conducted for the admission into various undergraduate and postgraduate level programmers in the field of engineering and technology.

Eligibility for JEE
The candidate must have passed their 10+2 examinations from a recognized board.

  • The candidate can appear in the Joint Entrance Exam two times only, that also should be in successive years.
  • The candidate should be physically fit for the course for which they have applied.
  • The candidates who will be giving their final examinations of 10+2 in 2011 are also eligible to apply.



Examination Format/Pattern
Question papers: - There will be two question papers, each of three hours duration. Both the question papers would consist of three separate sections on, Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics. Questions in these papers will be of objective type, which are to be answered on a especially designed machine-gradable sheet.

Language and Font of Question Papers
Candidates can select for Question Papers either in English or in Hindi. This alternative should be exercised while filling the application form. It cannot be changed at any presently stage.

Calculating Aids
Use of log tables and any electronic calculating aids are not permitted.

Exam Related Dates
Engineering Entrance Exams process and dates also differ from institute to institute. But normally, they last from December to June/July. In August/September, the classes of the new batch start in nearly engineering colleges/universities.
