XAT Entrance Exams

XAT is an annual entrance examination conducted by XLRI School of Business and Human Resources for admission to Post Graduate Management Programs of XLRI, Jamshedpur and 60 other management institutes. So, every year a large number of management aspirants apply for XAT to get admission in XLRI or other good institutes where XAT is applicable.

Candidates are very eager of joining XLRI or any other institutions have to appear for the examination.

Xavier Admission Test


XAT is an All India level Admission Test to select the students for its management education. There are more than 70 plus point Management Institutes who are selecting students from XAT 2011.

Eligibility
Students who have completed Bachelor's degree of minimum three years duration or equivalent in any discipline from a renowned university are eligible to apply. Those students are completing their final examination by June 10, 2011 may also apply.



Examination Format/Pattern
The duration of the exam is 120 minutes. There is a minus marking for wrong answer and 1/3 mark will be deducted. The entrance exam consists of 200 multiple choice questions. The questions are from verbal and quantitative ability area. Also there will questions from Reading Comprehension, and General Knowledge. Some of the questions will be Reasoning and Data Interpretation area too.

Exam Related Dates
  • XAT 2011 will be held on 2nd January, 2011.
  • XAT 2011 brochure available from 1st September, 2011 to 30th November, 2011.
  • The online registration for XAT and XLRI will begin from September 1, 2011.
