International Fellowship Program

The International Fellowships Program (IFP) is a program based in New York, and supported by the Ford Foundation. It is administered in Tanzania as IFP-Tanzania in collaboration with the Social and Economic Research Foundation (ESRF). International Fellowship Program provides a select number of exceptional students with the financial support essential to pursue up to three years of graduate study at any college or university in the world. The program attracts students from diverse backgrounds but is targeted toward individuals from communities that routinely lack access to higher education. IFP seeks to instill within these future leaders the skills and knowledge required to improve economic and social conditions within their communities. Additionally to providing financial assistance for travel, living expenses and tuition, IFP also offers preliminary pre-academic training including language instruction, workshops on research skills, and computer training.
