About Veer Kunwar Singh University:
Veer Kunwar Singh University (VKSU) was established in 1992 under Bihar University Act 1976. The University named after the well known national hero and distinguished freedom fighter Veer Kunwar Singh is located in Arrah District of Bihar State in India. It is a public University and recognised by the UGC. The University is responsible to provide education in the districts of Bhojpur, Buxar, Kaimur and Rohtas.

The university serves the educational needs of more than one crore population of these districts through its 20 University Post Graduate Departments, 17 Constituent Degree Colleges, three Law Colleges and thirty seven affiliated Degree Colleges.
The University offers post graduate courses in Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Mathematics, Commerce, History, Economics, Sociology etc through 20 departments. The University also conducts some job oriented courses such as B.C.A., B.B.A., B.Sc. in Bio-technology and B.Sc. in Industrial Fisheries to meet the demand of the present age. The University also promotes quality research works.
