About National University of Educational Planning and Administration (NUEPA)

National University of Educational Planning and Administration (NUEPA) was established in 1962 as Asian Regional Centre for Educational Planners and Administrators which later became the Asian Institute of Educational Planning and Administration in 1965.

The University acquired its present name in 1979 and became an autonomous body. Like any central university, NUEPA is fully maintained by the Government of India. In recognition of the pioneering work done by the organization in the field of educational planning and administration, the Human Ministry of India have conferred NUEPA the status of Deemed to be University in August, 2006.

The main objectives of the university is to undertake, aid, promote and coordinate research in various aspects of educational planning and administration and allied disciplines, including comparative studies in planning techniques and administrative

procedures in the different States of India and in other countries of the world and provides academic and professional guidance to agencies, institutions and personnel engaged in educational planning and administration. NUEPA offers M. Phil, Ph. D. and Post-Doctoral Programmes and award degrees in educational planning, educational administration, educational finance etc.
