About Indian Insitute of Management, Ahmedabad:
Popularly known as IIMA, Indian Insitute of Management, Ahmedabad was established in 1961 by the state government of Gujarat along with government of India and Indian Industry with the objective of teaching management subjects at the post graduate level. According to the survey conducted by Bussiness India in 2006, IIMA is the best B-Schools in the country.

In the begining, IIM-A collaborated with Harvard Business School (HBS). As a result of Collaboration, IIM-A pioneered the case method of research and teaching in India. The mission of IIM-A is to professionalize Indian management through teaching, research, training, institution building and consulting.
IIM-A offers Post Graduate Program in Management, Agri-Business Management, Public Management and Policy, Management for Executives, Faculty Development Program and Fellow Program in Management. The post graduate programs offered by the IIMA are a two year full-time residential course or graduates from all disciplines.

Admissions to IIM Ahmedabad are done on the basis of Common Admission Test (CAT), and subsequent rounds of personal interviews and group discussions.
