About Himachal Pradesh University:
Popularly known as HP University, Himachal Pradesh University came into existence in 1970. HP University is one of the most comprehensive universities in Northern India that offers a vast array of degrees and courses, research programs to students.

HP University is member of Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and also affiliated to the prestigious Indira Gandhi Medical College, Shimla for its Medical Courses.
The University offers large number of undergraduate courses, postgraduate courses. The university also offers Ph.D Program in Law. Beside the regular teaching programs, the university has also established a Centre of Environmental Studies (CES) and imperative interdisciplinary research facilities in the fields of Bio-Technology, Ethno-Bio-Sciences, Industrial Chemistry, and Tribal Studies.
