About University of Kashmir:
The University of Kashmir has came into existence in 1965 after the separation of the University of Jammu & Kashmir into two individual universities, the University of Jammu and the University of Kashmir.

Situated at Hazratbal, an idyllic area on the western side of the fabulous Dal Lake of Srinagar, UOK has been accredited as 'A' Grade by National Assessment & Accreditation Council of India. The university of Kashmir is a member of The Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and recognised by UGC.
Various courses under different streams are offered by the university. Courses such as MBA, MCA and M.Tech (Embedded systems), Biotechnology, GIS and Remote Sensing, Bio-Informatics and Environmental Sciences have been provided by the university.
