There are two streams of admission: Regular and Open. To Get the admission in Regular stream should have minimum educational qualifications prescribed by the University.

This University was established in 1981. The Open stream started in 1987. No academic qualifications are required for entry through this mode; applicants should, however, be a minimum of 18 years of age. There were about 24,800 total enrolment in the year 1998-99 academic year and total entrollments in 2000: 23777.
